JONATHAN DEMBO – DIRECTOR

Jonathan is a founding director of All Our Business Ltd (AOB).

His career began as a solicitor with renowned media law firm Mishcon de Reya, where he specialised in film and television. He then made the transition into the music business, spending a decade immersed in label business affairs at three of the industry’s major companies – initially Bertelsmann Music Group (BMG), then Sony Music and subsequently Warner Music where he was Senior Director of Business Affairs, overseeing all aspects of the label’s contractual dealings with its artists.

Since co-founding AOB in 2003, Jonathan has developed AOB’s business affairs activities across various, converging sectors, such as sport, fine art, fashion and branding, alongside his legal work in music and entertainment. His broad client portfolio has ranged from a chart-topping, platinum-selling band to YBA fine artists and world-class parkour (or freerunning) athletes.

Through AOB’s activities in event production, Jonathan became a founding director of World Freerun Ents, the company which staged the live and multimedia World Freerun Championships in iconic city locations including London’s Trafalgar Square. Jonathan’s experience as a producer and promoter uniquely qualifies him to step into the shoes of clients to give practical advice as well as providing a business affairs service.

Under the AOB banner, Jonathan is a founding director and Chief Commercial Officer of Young Voices International, a company which stages the largest children’s choir concerts in the world. Over 1 million children have performed with Young Voices so far. Jonathan’s role includes establishing commercial partnerships and developing Young Voices’ activities and affiliates internationally.

Jonathan’s significant commercial experience in entertainment and the arts has led to him become a trustee of the House of Fairy Tales charitable foundation set up by Deborah Curtis and YBA artist, Gavin Turk. House of Fairy Tales gives children from all backgrounds opportunities for engagement and immersion in the arts. Jonathan has also served on the Advisory Board of the Notting Hill Carnival, Europe’s largest street festival.

In collaboration with ISI Inc, Jonathan has co-produced theatrical comedy performances through regional tours (The Improvisers featuring Paul Merton, Phill Jupitus et al) and at the Wyndham Theatre in London’s West End (musician-comedian Bill Bailey and Lenny Henry directed by Complicité’s Simon McBurney).
